KOALAS ARE EXTREMELY PICKY EATERS – Koalas eat around half a kilogram of eucalyptus leaves a day. They’re very picky, tending to choose around 30 of the 600 varieties of eucalyptus trees out there. They are reported to smell like cough drops because of all that eucalyptus.

EACH KOALA’S ‘HOME’ IS MADE UP OF SEVERAL TREES CALLED HOME TREES.
Although Koalas themselves are protected by law, around eighty percent of any remaining habitat occurs on privately owned land and almost none of that is protected by legislation. Koalas need about 100 trees EACH in order to survive. This is why Koalas need a Koala Protection Act.
